I remember vaguely to have tried to bowl before … I remember quite clearly to have in fact hit all of the little wooden guys and made them fall over. Problem was, it was on the lane that was left of ours – I had thrown the bowling ball right over there. I remember vividly and in color the incredulous looks I got from everyone back then. I do not quite remember what I did afterwards, I think I left to get some more beer for the others – hoping they would forget about me.
This time I took my new G10, that I wanted to test, and Hunter, the dog, so I had no time to damage the walls of this small place with a bowling ball. I know I probably would have managed to bowl the ceiling lights out otherwise.
It was the birthday party of a friend and I would have hated to make it end early. So instead I had fun with my camera and trying to keep Hunter from eating the rat poison that was spread all over the place under the furniture. Busy night.
I loved the flowing gestures of those, who seemingly knew what they were doing when throwing the ball … And I thought of Francis Bacon. I wanted to do something close to Francis Bacon’s paintings on this one, to capture the movement, to capture development … to capure the mood and some emotions. The G10 did not disappoint me – and so we started with Francis and went on to some other places.
